Handloom
Natural dyeing

The fabric is pure cotton from Bangalore, Karnataka. The cotton yarns are hand-dyed naturally using areca nut, for an earthy brown colour. The stripes are then handwoven on a traditional weaving loom. The textile is cured and it is hand-cut by our tailors, meticulously stitched and finished into the final garment you see here.

Handwash in cold water with mild soap. Dry in shade. Wash after 2-3 wears; air dry after every wear. Iron as needed.

The handloom and natural dye process is done by hand in small batches, using natural resources and energy carefully, creating far less waste and pollution compared to conventional textile production. Natural colours contain no toxic chemicals. They are safe for the makers, the wearer and the planet. By supporting these craft techniques, you are helping master artisans continue practising their traditions and pass on the knowledge.
